“Sir, under your able leadership we have been aspiring to become the most iconic, influential, and inspirational democracy on the global map. It is because of your exemplary, pragmatic and visionary leadership; India is poised at the inflection point and we are coming out of the pandemic-driven downturn into a new cycle of ‘Aatm Nirbhar Bharat’.
India and the world at large are struggling with numerous societal, behavioural, and economical challenges which are impeding humankind to realize their full potential and that is ultimately affecting each country to grow and thrive. To name a few, rape, poverty, hunger, drugs addiction, suicides, human trafficking, mental stress, facing the world, tween psychological issues, public health, environmental crisis, etc. and as a country, we need to go deeper into such issues.
Having ample faith in your able governance, and as an enthusiastic citizen, I would like to propose establishing a World-Class Research Institute of Excellence in Behavioural Sciences. Behavioral science is the study of multidisciplinary fields that attempts to understand the full extent of human behaviors and actions in meaningful ways. The realm of this discipline is to understand the connections between the human mind and behaviour which require knowledge from Psychology, Sociology, Law, Cultural Anthropology, Paediatrics & Child Development, Neuro-science, Economics, and other applied disciplines arising out of the studies of other such subjects. Numerous researches have established those behavioural sciences, the multi-disciplinary approach, is the way forward to help individuals, societies, and governments to help find the most accurate and sustainable solutions.
Mission
- To develop an Institute of excellence globally that produces world-leading research by synchronizing the ancient ayurvedic, modern science, multi-disciplinary faculties, and empirical research
- An institute that is committed to applying research-based behavioural science knowledge to the real-life, societal, behavioural, economical, and environmental problems
Under your able leadership, I envision an institute that is fully committed to pursuing solutions to all societal, behavioural, and economical challenges which are limiting our society and future generation to realize their full potential and live happy, healthy, and sustainable lives.”

“We are aware of the extent of trauma being faced by the children who have been orphaned due to COVID-19. Loss of mother and father because of Corona is a sudden and un-comparable loss for children. We very earnestly request that such children should not be displaced from the place and family with whom they have cherished the memory of their parents.
Taking away children to Specialized Adoption Agency for the beginning of the adoption process may cause further trauma and uncertainty to the child. Leaving the place and people with whom they have had shared their cherished time will cause alienation in them. We at CRACR&PD are also apprehensive of the fact that during this process even the siblings could be separated. If siblings get separated this will amount to lifetime trauma and alienation to such children.
CRACR&PD had organized a webinar on the issue of the adoption of children orphaned by COVID-19. Speakers and participants were Psychologist, Child Welfare Committee Members, Child Rights Activists with huge national and international exposure, Researchers, Lawyers and others. All participants were unanimous of the view that considering the mental and physical challenges created by the pandemic, we need to go through the current provisions of adoption, so that the children are not further traumatized, suffer from uncertainties and God forbid that the siblings are separated.
We, at CRACR&PD unanimously decided to recommend to your office that children orphaned due to COVID-19 be taken care of by their relatives or neighbours by putting such children into foster care with such relatives or neighbours, who have shown keen interest in maintaining the child, and with whom the child has assented to reside with. The child should be given in foster care after the family or the person is declared fit family and or fit person by the concerned Child Welfare Committee. This may culminate into adoption by foster family and care must be taken that Siblings should be placed together so as to avoid any further separation and trauma.”
